My Arabian Scent Lounge
Looking for some inspiration for Arabian or oriental fragrances? When it comes to Arabian or oriental fragrances, there are many to choose from, with many options. This is also Shaneela Rowah Al-Qamar’s area of specialism and interest. The best way to make a choice, it to stay as authentic as possible to the Arabian style of fragrance composition! Arabian fragrances are unique, because they are made up from ingredients that originate from rare species of trees or other plants and woody resins. These are usually ingredients that are ancient and some with fairytales of their own. It is the combination of these ingredients’ rarity and the stories behind them, which makes them unique. Arabian fragrances usually are made up of base fragrance notes, that are commonly used in traditional Arabian perfumery. These include precious ingredients such as Taif Rose, Saffron, Ambergris, Sandalwood, Musks and last but not least, Oud. Of course, however, many other notes ad combined within the composition of an Arabian fragrances. Below are some of Shaneela Rowah Al-Qamar’s favourite and recommended Arabian and oriental style fragrances. This list is updated on a regular basis, so please check back regularly

Treating it as a piece of jewellery is the only way to do justice to its magnificent richness.”
